Well I got my Nike Elite jersey in my hands yesterday and I thought I would share some feedback for all those who are thinking about taking the $250 leap for the new swag.
First off I love the jersey. I have been waiting to get a new Phillip Rivers jersey for a while and I'm glad I waited for the new Nike Elites. Yes I am a Chargers fan. Please fire Norv Turner (sorry ....back to the topic).
Anyway, here are some thoughts / observations:
- The fit is much slimmer than the Reebok authentics of the past. Particularly through the chest and torso. The big baggy look is out anyway.
- I think that the sizing chart on nflshop.com does a good job of giving the measurements for making the best size decision without seeing the jersey in advance of purchase.
- The materials are great. The stretch fabric is really heavy duty and the mesh is in my eyes much tighter and better quality than past offerings.
- The twill numbers have a nice "flex" to them unlike years past. You know how the Reebok numbers would sit there all stiff and rigid like you were wearing a stop sign on your chest ... not anymore.
- Love the flywire collar .. sits nice and high as well so you don't have the flashdance scoop neck feel.
- If anyone has purchased an NCAA throwback from Nike within the past two years I would say .... the craftsmanship is much the same in terms of the use of the flex fabric in combination with the mesh ventilation panels.
I have included some pics to show some of the details of the jersey. Wish the pics were better but its the best I can do right now.
Hope this helps someone looking to purchase the jersey.

How long ago did you originally submit your pre-order through nflshop.com??
I did not per order. I ordered the jersey on Sunday the 29th and it was delivered on Thursday the 3rd. I ordered from Nike.com.
Thanks.. Your Review helped me make the decision to get one.
