This achievement marks a single-day sales record for an NFL player’s jersey on NFLShop.com, breaking the previous record when nearly 900 Tony Romo jerseys were sold on November 11, 2007.
NFLShop.com went live with the Favre Jets jersey and other select Jets merchandise just after 6:00 AM on Thursday, less than five hours after the Green Bay Packers announced Favre’s trade to the Jets on Wednesday, Aug. 6. "
